FAKE BOOKS & Budget Books

Fake books are a style of book that have become very popular over the years. They have one-line music notation consisting of melody, lyrics and chord symbols. Sometimes referred to as 'Lead Sheets' they serve as a musical shorthand for players from beginners to professionals.
Fake Books are often spiral bound and generally have several hundred songs in them but since the print is often small or in a hand written style they may not be ideal for beginners or people who prefer larger print.
